Solving the Treasure Map Clues in Hogwarts Legacy

Arthur’s map features three hand-drawn landmarks that serve as the key to uncovering the treasure:

A Rhinoceros Skeleton

A Wyvern Fountain

A Portrait With A Secret

Each of these clues corresponds to specific locations within Hogwarts Castle, and we’ll guide you step by step to ensure you don’t lose your way.

Locate the Rhinoceros Skeleton

Your first destination is the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower, where you will find a large rhinoceros skeleton prominently displayed in the hallway. To get there quickly, fast travel to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom Floo Flame. Once you arrive, head down the stairs, and you will immediately spot the enormous skeletal structure. Take a moment to examine it, and then prepare to move on to the next clue.

A Wyvern Fountain

This fountain should look very familiar even if you haven’t spent much time in the castle. The fountain is located in the Transfiguration Courtyard. Either fast travel to the Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame or run down all the stairs in the Defense Against The Dark Arts Tower and exit through the large main doors. Once you’ve reached the courtyard head over to the fountain and examine it for a moment. Afterward, make your way through the door directly behind the fountain and the large tree.

A Portrait With A Secret

The final destination on your treasure hunt is located just up the stairs to the right of the door you just entered from the Transfiguration Courtyard. On the first landing, you’ll see a large portrait of a snowy forest with a cozy cottage. Look at the top of the portrait to see a handle on the top. Cast Accio on it. This will cause the painting to change and zoom into the cottage. Stairs will appear and you cane walk up them, open the door to the cottage and collect your prize. After plundering the chest, return to Arthur in the Defense Against The Dark Arts Tower and tell him what you found to complete the quest.
