Do I Save Mayrina or Take the Stat Boost in Baldur’s Gate 3? During the fight with Auntie Ethel in her lair, players are faced with one of the most impactful moral choices in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3, a decision that will carry weight for the entire game. It’s a moment that tests whether you value compassion or raw power, and there’s no going back once you make your choice. When Auntie Ethel’s health is nearly gone, she will stop the battle and try to strike a bargain. She offers you power in exchange for being allowed to keep Mayrina and her unborn child. At this point, you can accept her deal, reject it and save Mayrina, or simply kill Ethel outright. Each path has its own consequences, rewards, and moral implications. If you accept her offer and let her keep Mayrina, you’ll receive one of the most valuable items in Act 1: a single strand of Auntie Ethel’s hair … Thanks. Darksiders 3: Red Wed Puzzles Guide and Walkthrough
Darksiders 3: Red Wed Puzzles Guide and Walkthrough
The Hollows section of Darksiders 3 has a few red web and crystal puzzles. This guide will walk you through them. Have the Flame Hollow equipped and Fury’s whip at the ready. You’ll encounter a few tough enemies before you make it to the first puzzle.
The first red web and crystal puzzle has two crystals that must be activated simultaneously. You’ll notice the orange/red cobweb hanging on the wall beside the left crystal. Hitting the left crystal first is not an option for our Horseman. Instead, make your way to the circular stone on the ground near the statue. Stand on or near it and perform a double jump with the boost from the Flame Hollow. Aim forward and try to hug the statue the best you can.
This will ignite the red web which will burn until it hits the crystal activating it for you. You will have just enough time to land your jump and sprint to the right crystal. Jump over the lava instead of wading through it. Hit the crystal with your whip. Once both crystals are activated they will turn red and the bridge ahead will lift allowing you to proceed.
The second red web puzzle comes a little later in The Hollows. You’ll encounter it when you’re searching for the two crystal swords. It's along the left path. When you enter the room you’ll see red web hanging from the ceiling and along the left wall. You have the option to drop down into the room and eliminate the enemies before you start the puzzle or take care of them during it.
Whatever you choose get back up on the ledge and head right along the path, watch out for the skeleton lurking around the corner. He will take a cheap shot. Take him down so he doesn’t keep bothering you. Keep going until you see an opening on the left side. There is a metal bar that Fury can swing from with her whip. Swing to it and perform a double jump with a flame boost to ignite the red web.
If you haven’t already eliminated the enemies, do so. Assuming you didn’t rage quit from dying, head to the right side of the gate and pick up the bomb bug. Take him to the orange food on the left side of the room. You released it with your flame jump a moment ago. Let him fill up so that he’s ready to explode for you, then go to the back left corner of the room.
Ignite the red web and dash back to the platform button in the center of the room. This causes the wall above the gate to spin and reveal a crystal. Remain on it until the wed has burned all the way up and activated the crystal, opening the gate and unblocking your path.
