Should You Give Auntie Ethel Your Eye or Not?

Should You Give Auntie Ethel Your Eye or Not? Should players give Auntie Ethel their eye in return for her help in removing the tadpole? This is one of many choices in the beloved game that is Balder’s Gate 3. This brief breakdown of pros and cons may help you decide whether or not you want to give Auntie Ethel your eye. It’s a choice that happens relatively early in the game and it will have lasting consequences. You’ll meet Auntie Ethel on your way to the Sunlit Wetlands , the area south of the Blighted Village . You’ll find her again in her Riverside Teahouse . She offers to remove the Mindflayer Parasite in your brain in exchange for one of your peepers. She even lets you choose which one, so kind. Let’s break it down, petal. First off is the whited out eye you receive which is a permanent change to your characters appearance . Something I struggled with because I wanted my character to stay pretty. The whited out eye gives you the “Paid The Price” condition which gives you a...

Darksiders 3: All Bosses In Order

Darksiders 3: All Bosses In Order

Darksiders 3 has 7 main bosses with a couple of optional bosses. Unlike its predecessors, Darksiders 3 has no map and no clear path for your objective. The game mostly just sets you free and lets you stumble along the route blindly. There is a navigator along the top of the screen but it only tells you if you’re moving towards one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Not how to get to them or what order they can be defeated in. Let’s get into putting the Darksiders 3 bosses in order.

Please note that this post does contain SPOILERS!

First up is Envy. You run into her at the very beginning of the game. You have no choice but to defeat her. She serves as the introduction to the game and the introduction to The Seven Deadly Sins.

After Envy, Ulthane will tell you where Wrath is located. He’s down in the Nether enjoying splitting skulls a little too much. He serves as the first real boss battle. However, you won’t be truly defeating him. When his health runs out a new cut scene triggers and you won’t be able to catch him like you did with Envy.

There are two options to choose from after Wrath’s battle and receiving the Flame Hollow. One is to use the Serpent Holes to travel back to the Nether and capture Sloth or two, navigate through the Hollows until you get above ground again, and encounter Avarice.

I generally pick the second option when playing. I prefer to get through the Hollows first instead of returning to them later or forgetting about it and then getting confused about why I can’t move forward. In terms of how difficult each boss is, I’d say Avarice is slightly easier. Sloth deploys his beetle minions to attack you during the fight and it can get overwhelming. Avarice fights alone. He mostly throws and swings junk at Fury so with the proper use of my best friend, The Dodge Button, He can be captured more easily with a lower health and power ranking than Sloth.

With Avarice and Sloth out of the way, you can make your way to a new section of the nonexistent map. You’ll briefly meet Pride but leave her for last. She triggers the end of the game. The next target is Lust.

Lust is located in The Bonelands. A nasty pit of decay and undead. Lust corrupted the dead angels and demons with her necromancy. Here Fury will meet Usiel. An angel that doesn’t completely hate on the Horsemen. Unfortunately, Lust mind controls him, and the pair tag-team you during the battle with Lust. Do your best to avoid Usiel’s attacks and focus Fury’s attacks on Lust.

When Lust is captured, Gluttony will show his ugly mug. The Force Hollow you receive after Lust is essential to this boss battle. Gluttony has two phases. The first phase, where you fight against one of his tentacles. He spews acid and attempts to swipe or bite you and the second phase. Fury follows his retreating tentacle into the lake below. The second phase is where the Force Hollow comes into play underwater.

The next boss is located in The Scar. It’s an area in the Crossroads that Fury can access once all the Hollows have been collected. Now technically Abraxis is an optional boss. You can choose to harvest his soul for The Lord Of The Hollows or let him live.

Choosing to kill Abraxis and take his soul to The Lord Of The Hollows gives you a different ending than if you let Abraxis live.

Regardless of whether you let Abraxis live or not, The Scar has one more boss for us and he’s a familiar face. Warth made himself comfortable in the gladiator arena after the last battle with him. He has similar moves to the first encounter with him but he is more powerful and more difficult this time.

Return to The Hollows and find The Lord Of The Hollows. Here is another optional boss battle depending on what you chose to do with Abraxis earlier. If you do not fight him he will give you an amulet. One that even Ulthane looks shocked by at the end of the game. If you let Abraxis live, you will not get the Amulet.

Make sure to finish up any business, explorations, or upgrades before you enter Ares and confront Pride. The end of the game is triggered once you enter Ares and there is no going back. Pride is the second to last boss battle in the game. She is an aggressive enemy. Watch out for her sweeping sword attacks, The beams from her statues, and her magic orbs.

The final boss of Darksiders 3 is also the first boss we encountered. Envy. She betrayed Fury and went straight for the Charred Council. She uses the power of the other sins along with her own sword, scythe, and gun. With Envy defeated Darksiders 3 is officially complete.

These are all the Darksiders 3 bosses in order. There are some bosses that you can rearrange if you’re so inclined but this is the order that I find works best for my playthroughs!
